Zana Bayne Announces Los Angeles Pop Up Shop Featuring The "Wild Rose" Collection Premiere

This weekend, Zana Bayne will be holding court in Downtown Los Angeles for a three day pop up shop to premiere a new collection. Zana Bayne is a NYC-based "post-fetish" leather goods brand by creative team Zana Bayne and Todd Pendu founded by Bayne in 2010. Their work is known for its focus on quality craftsmanship and for inventive accessories designed to layer over any wardrobe. The pop up shop will be held daily from January 27 to January 29 from 11am to 7pm at 927 S. Sante Fe Avenue, Los Angeles, CA

Since the 1990s, Jeffrey Gibson has been weaving his own Native traditions and queer history with pop cultural references—particularly song titles, into kaleidoscopic textile works, paintings, videos, and performances. A member of the Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indians and of Cherokee descent, he is the first Indigenous artist to represent the United States with a solo presentation at the Venice Biennale. His exhibition at the US Pavilion, the space in which to place me, takes its title from Oglala Lakota poet Layli Long Soldier’s poem e Sápa. Gaetano Pesce (1939–2024) “The time of copies is behind us. We are in a time of originals.” Very sad to hear the news of Pesce’s passing, a legendary architect and designer with a meteoric influence on design, both in practice and theory.
