BETSY JOHNSON, AN ODE TO TRACEY EMIN, TO ACCUMULATION Autre is proud to announce its FW25 WORK IN PROGRESS Issue (preorder link in bio). We are living through a moment of constant upheaval—where change is relentless, and nothing feels fixed. This issue embraces that reality, exploring radical ideas and new visions, from the office to the edges of the universe. Cultural multihyphenate @betsyjohnson_, photographed by @pavelgolik, in a deep dive conversation with Martina Tiefenthaler (@mrt4000). Hailing from Grimsby, Betsy Johnson is a stylist, creative director, and artist whose eclectic practice blends punk and glamour, minimalism and maximalism, into a singular visual language. For the Work In Progress theme, she created an homage to Tracey Emin’s My Bed using objects from her own home and studio. In parallel, Austrian-born Martina Tiefenthaler—former Chief Creative Officer at Balenciag—brings her architectural precision and recent explorations in coaching and image making to the dialogue. Together, Johnson and Tiefenthaler reflect on the emotional charge of objects, balancing intuition against commercial demands, and the need for more human-centered approaches to leadership in creative fields. ZOE BARRY, DRIVEN ARTISTS RACING TEAM… Autre is proud to announce its FW25 WORK IN PROGRESS Issue (preorder link in bio). We are living through a moment of constant upheaval—where change is relentless, and nothing feels fixed. This issue embraces that reality, exploring radical ideas and new visions, from the office to the edges of the universe. Introducing racecar driver Zoe Barry (@zoebarryracing) who joins racing legend Lyn. St. James to discuss the power of women in motorsport (with support from @caddis_life). Zoe Barry is redefining what it means to compete at the highest level of one of the world’s most dangerous sports. Driving Car #44—a number that underscores the parallel that only 4% of licensed professional racecar drivers and 4% of artworks sold at auction are by women—she takes the wheel of a McLaren Artura GT4 wrapped in a custom @mickalenethomas livery, determined to win in a male-dominated arena. In 2025, she co-founded the Driven Artists Racing Team (@dartcarproject) with art advisor Spring McManus (@springmcmanusart), the first initiative to merge motorsports with contemporary art, with ambitions to become the first all-female-led team to compete in the 24H Series Middle East Trophy in Dubai. Mentored by racing legend Lyn St. James—who shattered barriers from the Indianapolis 500 to Talladega—Barry brings the same resilience, strategy, and stamina to the track that she once applied in the corporate world. A special photo feature, supported by Caddis Eye Appliances, captures the grit and glamour of her second act as a driver, proving that performance and cultural impact can fuel real change together. VENERA, A NEW SONIC COSMOLOGY Autre is proud to announce its FW25 WORK IN PROGRESS Issue (preorder link in bio). We are living through a moment of constant upheaval—where change is relentless, and nothing feels fixed. This issue embraces that reality, exploring radical ideas and new visions, from the office to the edges of the universe. Korn founder and guitarist James “Munky” Shaffer and composer Chris Hunt invent a new sonic cosmology on their sophomore album with @_veneramusic —out now. James ‘Munky’ Shaffer and Chris Hunt build a nightmarish, orchestral cosmos. What began in 2022 as pre-show music for Korn’s Requiem tour evolved into a studio partnership rooted in sound design, improvisation, and a shared language of intensity and density. Their process is open-ended: a guitar, a drum machine, a synth, and no guardrails. Out of that freedom came EXINFINITE (PAN), a heavier, more structured follow-up featuring FKA twigs, Chelsea Wolfe, and Dis Fig. It’s not about singles or radio—it’s a project shaped by trust, friction, and the pursuit of sound as a world in itself. We are living through a moment of constant upheaval—where change is relentless, and nothing feels fixed. This issue embraces that reality, exploring radical ideas and new visions, from the office to the edges of the universe. As we enter a critical fashion season with majorly anticipated designer debuts, nobody has seen the pendulum swing more than @lucienpages . Over the past twenty years, Lucien Pagès has managed to have his cake and eat it too. In a system of extremes: spectacle and collapse, hype and fatigue, visibility and disappearance, Pagès has made a career out of mastering fluctuations. Since founding his agency in 2006, he has represented more than 150 brands while keeping his own presence understated, building influence not through noise but through careful calibration, crisis management, and an instinct for the shifting rhythms of the industry. In conversation with @ly.as, Pagès delivers a shapeshifting interview — equal parts candid honesty and finely tuned media training. Preorder the issue now by clicking the 🔗 in bio (www.autre.love). Jim Jarmusch, featured in our SS25 Desire Issue wins the Golden Lion at the 82nd Venice Film Festival for “Mother Daughter Sister Brother.” About the unusual narrative of the tryptic film, starring Cate Blanchett: “These stories are distinct but inseparable. I structured them very delicately—it’s almost like flower arranging for me. The film is very quiet, nonjudgmental, and purely observational. I’m not trying to make a statement, just capturing these fragile relationships. And a lot of the dialogue is stupid as I prefer. I love dialogue that’s silly, natural, without too much intention.” 📷 @patmartin__ #jimjarmusch #venicefilmfestival #goldenlion #cinema
