Mark Gonzales is widely considered to be the greatest and most influential skateboarder of all time. On top of skateboarding, Gonzales is also an artist and a poet who has collaborated with the likes of Harmony Korine, Maurizio Cattelan and other creative misfits to produce over 145 zines since the early 90s. Many of these zines were shared among friends, fellow skaters and artists. For the first time ever, Gonzales’ zines have been collected and compiled in a new anthology entitled Non Stop Poetry: The Zines of Mark Gonzales (Printed Matter Inc). In this gorgeously and lyrically shot short film – directed by Donald Firth – the Gonz reads some of his poetry over footage from his book signing for Non Stop Poetry at Pizzanista! in Los Angeles. The book, which is already a collectors item, can be purchased here.
