Designer Sean Knibb (Knibb Design) - known for decking out the The LINE Hotel in Los Angeles - creates unique Carrara marble tables with t-shirts and jean shorts meticulously carved into the marble surface - the process takes over 700 hours by highly skilled Italian artisans. This incredible image of the Earth rise was taken during lunar orbit by the Apollo 11 mission crew in July of 1969. The first manned lunar mission, Apollo 11 launched aboard a Saturn V launch vehicle from the Kennedy Space Center, Florida on July 16, 1969 and safely returned to Earth on July 24, 1969. Gaetano Pesce (1939–2024) “The time of copies is behind us. We are in a time of originals.” Very sad to hear the news of Pesce’s passing, a legendary architect and designer with a meteoric influence on design, both in practice and theory.
