The Fahey/Klein Gallery is presents a selection of photographs from Bob Gruen’s newly released monograph, “Rock Seen” (Abrams, 2011). For forty years, Bob Gruen has been documenting the rock scene, capturing now iconic images of The Clash, The Sex Pistols, Led Zeppelin, New York Dolls, Blondie, The Ramones, and John Lennon and Yoko Ono among others. Bob Gruen says of his career and recent publication, “Photography has led me to some great experiences and enduring relationships. Blurring the line between work and play, many of the people I met through my work have become friends; some are like family to me. You can look at [“Rock Seen”] as a collection of my work, or simply as the family album of my life.” (“Rock Seen” Book Introduction by Bob Gruen). Psychic Dancehall- "Dreamers"

Formally known by their pseudonyms Dorian Wartime and Sylvia Innocent, non-platonic duo Psychic Dancehall are, in fact, Charles Rowell from the Crocodiles and Hollie Cook, daughter of Sex Pistols drummer Paul and The Slits’ most junior member. Having first met in 2006, their debut album Dreamers came out September of 2011.

Museo Pecci di Prato in Florence, Italy presents an exhibition entiled LIVE! Art Meets Rock. The exhibition, curated by Luca Beatrice and Marco Bazzini, adopts a suggestive perspective to show how the history of contemporary art and of rock music have followed parallel paths to contribute to the construction of the cultural universe of the last forty years. Music and the visual arts have crossed and overlapped, over time, engendering a unified and consistent landscape; what draws them together is the performative dimension, articulated according to the specific occasion within an exhibition or a concert. LIVE!offers a parallel and original reading of historic events by exhibiting paintings, sculptures, installations, video clips, artworks, LPs, graphic works, photographs, magazines and films. Artists include Andy Warhol, Yoko Ono, William English, Jean-Michel Basquiat, Cindy Sherman, David LaChapelle and more. The exhibition will be accompanied by Live!, a book published by Rizzoli with contributions by Luca Beatrice and Marco Bazzini. LIVE!
