SPELLLING, the project of Bay-area based Chrystia Cabral, shares a new video for “Under the Sun,” a track off of her forthcoming album, Mazy Fly, due today via Sacred Bones. The video, shot entirely on 8mm camera, is a collaboration between Cabral and emerging filmmaker Catalina Xavlena. A 7-minute surreal dreamscape odyssey into the depths of “Under the Sun,” the video features Cabral herself, surrounded by vivid hues, stunning movement, and cryptic storytelling. This visual boldly pays homage to 70s avant-garde film and 80s iconic music videos. “‘Under the Sun’ is a cosmic prayer for good fortune,” says Cabral. “This epic track celebrates the invisible energies that come together over time to create something radically new, like the birth of a star.”
Watch Kelsey Lu's New Music Video For "I'm Not In Love" Directed By Alima Lee
Die hard Kelsey Lu fans may fret at the idea that she might be abandoning the cello, but we’re not worried at all. You can hear in the layers of her vocals the oscillating rhythm of an instrument that has completely possessed the artist and endowed her with an air of continual, breathy expansion. Kelsey Lu’s “I’m Not In Love” is a haunting and luscious update to the original track by 10cc. One that abandons the bright 70s synth that made this track a power ballad for slow dancing at the disco, and pares it down to needle-point potency of a raw heartbeat and atmospheric synth more befitting to the times, and arguably the song itself.
Says Lu, “This is dedicated to the ones who have ever felt misunderstood in the name of Love, in the name of Self. Who Love the Passion, Love the Grace Of Dramatics, Love the obsession of life and want to Kill the Confusion all while finding beauty in the abstract of growth and humor that surrounds the horrors both within and around us daily.” We say, “Thank you!”

Watch The Debut of The Music Video For She-Devils' Track "The World Laughs"
Montreal duo She-Devils announce their signing to Secretly Canadian and share a brand new single, “The World Laughs,” along with an official video. Through primitive electronic gear, hypnotist vocals, and an “amusement park of sounds”, the duo of Audrey Ann Boucher and Kyle Jukka constructs a fun-house world of beautiful chaos. The music is built from original sonics inspired by everything from Iggy Pop to Madonna to T-Rex to Can, as well as the romantic longing of ‘60s yé-yé. She-Devils will play a special, intimate performance at The Glove in Bushwick, Brooklyn today. Click here to purchase tickets.
Watch The Debut Of Isaac Delusion's Music Video For The Track "Isabella" Directed By Nadia Lee Cohen
Isaac Delusion: "It is a very feminine song - hence why I wanted an all female cast. I wanted it to feel as though all of the women in the film could be Isabella. They are not protesting, they're just being themselves, although that could be considered rebellious now when we have such a conformist society. I wanted them to feel like this group of beautiful young carefree women; some are lovers some are friends; and we're getting a peek into their day to day life." Delusion's new album, Rust & Gold, will be out on April 7, 2017.

Listen To The Exclusive Premiere Of Kera And The Lesbians' Track "I'm Late"
Autre is excited to premiere a new track by Los Angeles-based Kera And The Lesbians called I'm Late. Singer Kera Armendariz describes the romantic history behind track: "This song came almost effortlessly. I remember writing it as she was swimming in the pool, watching her and realizing how lucky I was at that moment. Lucky to know someone who believed, challenged and brought out the best in me in the nine years of knowing her. I realized long ago that not all relationships last. Coming and going in waves, that all you can really do is appreciate the time spent in one another's lives. It will always be heartbreaking no matter how much time passes losing someone you deeply care about. I wrote it for you, for me, for us." Click here for upcoming tour dates.
Watch The Premiere Of Cass McComb's Track "I'm A Shoe" Off Mangy Love
Creation, destruction, boom, ghost. In the song 'I'm a Shoe,' Cass references the California boomtown / ghost town of Bodie, a town that rose to peak population in the late 1800's gold rush. As people swarmed Bodie and scrambled to strike it rich, the town developed an unrivaled reputation for great violence, murder and a much feared figure - the ‘Bad Man of Bodie.’ The video for 'I’m a Shoe' was filmed at the ghost town of Mare Island, Vallejo, California which in the chronology of California boomtown /ghost towns, directly follows the demise of Bodie. Bodie’s official end and Mare Island’s boom both came about to service the needs of World War II. The Roosevelt’s government’s War Production Board ordered the closure of Bodie’s gold mines in order to divert labor and equipment to the requirements of the war. Mare Island peaked at this time employing over 40,000 people building warships and submarines, it now sits in ruins. It is a very compelling ghost town with a strange discomforting atmosphere. How will this next uncertain chapter of US history unfold? What will be swarmed, extracted or built? What will be abandoned in the future for the vultures to inherit?
