Keith Haring The Political Line at the De Young
The Political Line features more than 130 works of art including large scale paintings (on tarpaulins and canvases), sculptures and a number of the artist’s subway drawings, among other works. The exhibition will create a narrative that explores the artist’s responses to nuclear disarmament, racial inequality, the excesses of capitalism, environmental degradation and others issues of deep personal concern to the artist. Keith Haring: The Political Line will be on view at until February 16, 2015 at the De Young Museum in San Francisco.

Russian Criminal Tattoo Police Files is a selection of photographs of Russian prisoners tattoos collected by Arkady Bronnikov between the mid-1960s and mid-1980s. A senior expert in criminalistics at the USSR Ministry of Internal Affairs for over thirty years, part of Bronnikov's duties involved visiting correctional institutions of the Ural and Siberia regions. It was here that he interviewed, gathered information and photographed convicts and their tattoos, building one of the most comprehensive archives of this phenomenon acquired by FUEL in 2013. ANDRO WEKUA at Sprueth Magers
For his first exhibition with Sprüth Magers, Andro Wekua will transform the London gallery by installing a wall constructed of rough breeze blocks, partially obscuring the view into the space through the large bay window. While from the exterior the blocks will be untreated and exposed, the interior side of the wall will have a smooth white surface as if to disguise it from within, allowing the wall to blend seamlessly into the interior space. Within the gallery, Wekua will suspend from the ceiling a life-sized sculpture of an androgynous adolescent.
