On Sunday, October 14, Autre magazine hosted a mezcal bruncheon to celebrate our Fall/Winter 2018 issue and LA Eyeworks’ new collection at their iconic Neil Denari-designed flagship on Beverly Boulevard. Kat Olschbaur's Solo Show "Wilde Reiter" @ Oof Books

In this particular body of work, Kat Olschbaur explores motifs typically associated with the American West; as the name of the show and the artist’s painting style signal, however, the meaning of these images are multi-tier. Many of Olschbaur’s native association with riders on horseback are apocalyptic, deadly, seductive, or indicative of insanity.
