Blum & Poe gallery in Los Angeles presents forty years of painting by artist Julian Schnabel. This exhibition marks Schnabel’s first solo presentation with Blum & Poe. After a hiatus from the West Coast art scene for nearly a decade, this first exhibition at Blum & Poe takes the form of a concise overview of an exhilaratingly divergent painting practice—making a forceful case for the historical importance of Schnabel’s oeuvre as well as his ever-growing relevance to a new generation of artists. Julian Schnabel "Infinity On Trial" will be on view until April 30, 2016 at Blum & Poe gallery in Los Angeles.

Tom House: Tom of Finland in Los Angeles, from the Rizzoli imprint, is a delicious peek inside the legendary former residence of Finnish erotic illustrator and painter of all your gay fantasies, Touko Laaksonen. The home, on a quiet suburban street in the Silverlake neighborhood of Los Angeles, is where Laaksonen, most famously known as Tom of Finland, lived and worked during the last ten years of his life. The men and muses he lived with still live there to this day and maintain the home just as he left it, albeit with a lot more of his artwork on the walls. To the un-gay eye, this house may seem like a den of iniquity, but in reality it is a shrine to the late Tom of Finland and it is a testament to freedom of sexuality and desire. Straight or gay, Tom’s House is a must visit when you spend time in Los Angeles, and the book is an excellent way to visit if you can’t actually be there. A Visit To The Rodnik Band's Chateau Marmont Bungalow Hideaway

Autre got a chance to step into the whimsical and surreal world of The Rodnick Band, and what better place for the United Kingdom-based fashion-label-cum-art-collective than the famed Chateau Marmont where Philip Colbert, the brain child behind the brand, and his wife Charlotte, have been holding court for the past month at their private bungalow. The mid-century Craig Ellwood-designed bungalow was a temporary diorama replete with The Rodnik Band's wide range of delectable offerings, from lobster rugs to raw meat tables sitting on cigarette legs and pop art furniture. Philip modeled the brand's range of tailored suits, one with an exploding popcorn pattern. Charlotte donned a beaded and sequined dress inspired by Vincent Van Gogh's famous sunflower paintings. At the end, Philip took us for a spin in a BMW 7-series vinyl wrapped with his signature fried egg pattern. photographs by Oliver Maxwell Kupper

Girls Going Wild is a short film directed by Yulia Zinshtein in Miami during Art Basel. For those of us that grew up on early reality TV - shows like The Real World and Road Rules, which were usually punctuated by late-night infomercials for Girls Gone Wild – this portrait of young adults looking for the ultimate party in Miami is at once familiar, but all too honest and a sad and strange reflection of our times. Zinshtein says, "Girls Going Wild is about searching for the best party.
